The Marsa Industrial Estate is located only a couple of kilometres away from both the Malta International Airport and the port facilities around the Grand Harbour. With almost 500,000sqm of industrial space, it is one of the larger estates in Malta and houses a good number of companies operating in a wide variety of sectors, including automotive components, clothing, food and beverages, engineering services, furniture, metal fabrications, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, plastics and products thereof, and printing.
Located at the innermost side of the Grand Harbour, Marsa is known to have been a port town since the Phoenician era. Even its very own name, which is derived from Arabic, means ‘port’.
