           At INDIS, we are responsible for administering Government-owned industrial parks and related facilities around Malta and Gozo, as well as supporting and promoting their further development. INDIS works closely with other entities, Government departments, and a host of service providers to continue offering the best possible service through the continuous development and management of qualitative, sustainable, and innovative industrial property solutions that are considered a crucial impetus for the islands’ sustainable economic development.

Our History

1967
INDIS Malta Ltd traces its traces its origin back to 1967 when the Malta Development Corporation (MDC) was established. It was then that the Maltese economy began its transformation, from an economy based on military service spending to an economy based on manufacturing and tourism.  The Technical Department was a key component within the structure of the Corporation.  Three industrial estates were in existence at the time, being Marsa, Msieraħ (nowadays known as San Ġwann Industrial Estate) and Mrieħel.
2004
The portfolio of government-owned industrial estates and related facilities grew over time and their administration became the responsibility of Malta Industrial Parks Ltd (MIP) when it started operations in 2004, with the function of the Technical Department being absorbed within this company.  
2020
MIP was rebranded as Industrial Innovative Solutions Ltd (INDIS) in November 2020 and today it manages over 20 industrial estates and facilities around Malta and Gozo, including the Safi Aviation Park and the Gozo Innovation Hub, located within the Xewkija Industrial Estate, and which are home to some of the most prestigious international names in manufacturing, services, and aviation sector.
