INDIS administers an area of almost 100,000sqm in the Mrieħel Industrial Estate, which houses several manufacturing companies, especially within sectors such as food and beverages, as well as electronics and components thereof. Managed by the Central Business District Foundation, this business district also has retail outlets, financial and banking institutions, making it one of the islands most important commercial and financial centres.

Mrieħel is located in the central area of Malta, close to the city of Birkirkara, and is synonymous with the aqueduct built by the Order of the Knights of St John to transport water from the rural areas in the west of Malta to Valletta. Given the size of Malta, Mrieħel is only a few minutes’ drive away from all other locations, including the capital city Valletta, the port ,and airport facilities.
