Located between San Ġwann and Birkirkara, the San Ġwann Industrial Estate covers a total area of around 270,000sqm and is the base for a number of companies involved in a myriad of sectors, from food and beverages, to clothing and ICT-related activities. The industrial estate is also home to the Malta Life Sciences Park, a research centre within the life sciences and other related knowledge-intensive industries located within walking distance from Malta’s major Mater Dei Hospital, the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Hospital, and the University of Malta.
San Ġwann is located in the central area of Malta but is also in close proximity to the northern harbour district and particularly to localities such as Sliema and St Julian’s, which are among the main touristic cities in Malta having a large number of accommodation, catering and entertainment establishments.
