New factory expansion for printing company

Local printing company Gutenberg plans to invest €7 million to expand its facility within the Bulebel industrial estate, where it plans to produce eco-sustainable products and implement the principles of the circular economy.

The company’s plans were announced during a visit by the Hon. Minister for the Economy and Industry Silvio Schembri to Gutenberg’s printing facility in Tarxien, where he was accompanied by INDIS Malta chairperson Dr Jean Pierre Attard.

In line with INDIS Malta’s strategic objectives to make a more efficient and more sustainable use of the available industrial space, the expansion will be a vertical one through the introduction of an additional level, rather than having any increase in the footprint of the facility.

Gutenberg is one of the largest printing companies in Malta, producing thousands of books, carton packaging, and other printed material in its two plants.
